Restoration/renovation of landmarked Victorian home
We have been working with Leah and her team for over a year on a complete restoration/renovation of our landmarked Victorian home in Brooklyn. And we have lived in the house throughout the project! So needless to say we have become like family at this point. Leah and her team are incredibly reliable, trustworthy, collaborative, detail oriented and thorough. I am a perfectionist and the work is absolutely meticulous — no detail is too small. Leah takes great care and pride in her work, as do her crew. They have completely updated the house — all new plumbing, gas, electrical, HVAC… removed a back staircase and added a new staircase to the basement — all while respecting the original character of the home. Great care has been taken to preserve all the original details and to recreate original elements in new spaces. They are fastidious with the finishes. The tile installation, trims, skim coating, painting are all absolutely perfect. The result is a completely modernized home that has all of its original charm (and then some!) — you would never know the house has been reconfigured from its original layout or that not every single detail is original.
What did they do especially well?
The team does an amazing job start to finish but if I have to call out one thing, it’s the finishes that are absolutely perfect. The care and craftsmanship is evident everywhere you look. They recreated cove + tray ceilings with plaster where the originals had been lost or damaged. They recreated trim to match the original on new doorways. They installed very unusual + challenging tile (hexagons, kite shapes, elaborately patterned tile) with precision. They exposed original beams and blended old with new seamlessly. The skim coating is incredible. They spend so much time on all the details to make sure everything is perfect, and throughout the process they have worked closely together with me, the architect and the designer to make sure the whole plan was executed exactly as envisioned. Leah has a great eye for detail and cares deeply about the project which really comes through with the finishes.
How did they handle unexpected challenges or surprises during the renovation?
Because the house is over 100 years old, there have been *lots* of surprises! We found space behind some walls, and bricks and other structural elements behind others where we didn’t expect them, beams where they shouldn’t be, no beams where they should be, etc, etc. With every unexpected situation (and there have been many!!), Leah has been creative, collaborative and fair. We appreciate that she always comes to the table with ideas for how to solve problems with as little impact to the house (and the budget!) as possible.
East River Duplex Renovation
I recently hired their team to renovate a two story 4 bedroom condo located on the East River in Manhattan. This company is simply fabulous Everything went according to plan from inception to finish, the price points were fair and the outcome awesome My kitchen is beyond gorgeous, floors immaculate, walls perfect and I could not be happier. Best of all, the owner of the company. Mrs. Leah was always reachable and followed up on even the smallest details herself which was both comforting and reassuring every step of the way she loves what she does, is fully committed to every project she takes on and also is a true perfectionist! I feel both blessed and lucky to have found such a wonderful contractor In addition, very staff member of this firm was super knowledgeable, reliable, courteous and efficient in coordinating all trades involved. Even all DOB matters and architectural details were handled timely and with the precision necessary for this high end and demanding job. I am recommending their team without hesitation for any and all high end Jobs in Manhattan you or your family members or friends may plan. Last but not least, because their extensive knowledge and connections dealing with Manhattan Management companies and boards you will save a lot of time and money throughout your project.

From the beginning of the project through the end, Leah and her team have been very helpful and dedicated to us. I was most impressed by how they not only worked towards the mere completion of the project but also took great care of us during the process, constantly thinking about what would make our lives easier and how to make our apartment as comfy and beautiful as it can be. Even when I was willing to concede on a detail, they pursued our vision with conviction, the detail big or small. They believe every aspect of the project matters. As a result, their heads are always on your project. Without asking, they come to the table with ideas, options, and new ways to deliver on your vision with the budget and timelines set.
How did they handle unexpected challenges or surprises during the renovation?
Unexpected challenges or surprises were few, but when they did arise, they always handled them professionally, with a notable sense of urgency. One phone call is all that is needed. Within an hour a solution was presented, and sometimes within that very day, the issue solved. Clients are their first priority, no matter the time of day.

I have worked with them for on three projects over the last 4 years. Throughout the course of project it has been refreshing to work with a company that understands and is dedicated to the ‘team’ approach, assisting the developer, architect and their consultants in making the project and the process efficient and economical. When we decided to work with this company and by extension, Leah and her talented team to transform our loft into a 3-bedroom 3 bathroom home, it was based on our similar design aesthetic and vision, and her clear professionalism and no nonsense nature. We had no idea of some of the challenges we would be facing together, both due to surprises found behind our own walls, and the looming pandemic shutdown. Leah was integral to helping us realize our ideas- from finding a fabricator to make a glass and steel enclosed playroom, to a craftsman who could build a custom bar and bookshelves. But she was also key to navigating complicated situations that arose so we arrived at the best possible outcome. She and her team were there every step of the way from a total gut down to the joists, to picking out tile and appliances and wallpaper with me.
